Ingredients

Salted Honey Latte
  • 2 shots espresso freshly brewed
  • 1.5 tbsp honey
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt
  • 0.75 cup whole milk or milk of choice
  • 1 cup ice cubes
Blackberry Cold Foam
  • 0.25 cup fresh blackberries
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt
Optional Garnish
  • fresh blackberries for garnish
  • honey drizzle optional
  • flaky sea salt for finishing

Equipment

  • espresso machine
  • milk frother
  • fine mesh sieve

Method

  1. Brew two shots of espresso and stir in honey and flaky sea salt while hot until fully dissolved.
  2. Allow the espresso mixture to cool slightly while preparing the cold foam.
  3. Mash the blackberries and strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  4. Combine blackberry puree, heavy cream, milk, honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a frothing pitcher.
  5. Froth until thick, creamy, and airy but still pourable.
  6. Fill two serving glasses with ice and divide the milk between them.
  7. Pour the honey espresso mixture over the milk.
  8. Slowly spoon the blackberry cold foam over the top of each latte.
  9. Garnish with fresh blackberries, honey drizzle, and flaky sea salt before serving.

Notes

For the smoothest foam, strain the blackberry puree thoroughly. Use chilled dairy ingredients for maximum frothing volume and stability.
