Garlic Pita Bread

Soft homemade pita bread brushed with garlic butter, perfect as a side, wrap, or dipping bread.

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp parsley

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • skillet or pan
  • rolling pin

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm water with sugar until foamy.
  2. Knead dough until smooth and let it rise until doubled.
  3. Shape dough into flat rounds and cook on hot pan until puffed.
  4. Brush with garlic butter and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, cook on high heat so the pita puffs properly.
