Method
- Prepare the chocolate lava center by heating cream and mixing with chocolate and butter until smooth.
- Make cookie dough by creaming butter and sugars, then adding eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients.
- Layer half the dough in a skillet, add lava filling, then cover with remaining dough.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until edges are golden and center is soft.
- Cool slightly and serve warm with ice cream for best lava effect.
Notes
Do not overbake to preserve the molten center. Serve immediately for best texture.
